Typhoon Haiyan (2013) killed 6,300 people and displaced 4 million. Recent super typhoons cause $5-10 billion in damage each.
Flooding Crisis: Monsoon floods affect 50 million people annually across ASEAN. Myanmar's 2024 floods displaced 1 million people. Thailand's 2011 floods caused $45 billion in damage. Mekong River floods devastate Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam regularly.
